Uspenskiy Rally Technica driver Patrik Flodin has driven to 3rd place in the latest round of the PWRC in Trier, Germany. Coming off a heartbreaking retirement in the Rally of Finland, a strong result was required to keep in the race for the championship. Wins in Sweden and Jordan are keeping Flodin in the hunt for the title.
Although not his favourite surface, Flodin had the Subaru STI in 2nd after the first service break. The rest of the day was spent maintaining a nice tempo and nursing the car through the day is what would be a long rally. Over 400kms of SS.
Throughout the second and third days of the event, the battle was on with the eventual second place finisher Paddon, while also maintaining a small gap over Gassner Jnr.
The win by Araujo extends his lead over Flodin in the PWRC championship, but the fight is not over just yet.
