Vaclav Pech dring in his KAPS Transmissions powered Mitsubishi Evo 9 won the penultimate event of the Czech championship, Rally Pribram, to close the gap to Roman Kresta at the top of the table.
Jaromir Tarabus finished second after a great battle with Pech which ended when the Punto S2000 driver suffered a broken rim on SS16. Josef Petak was third in a 207 S2000 with Vojtech Stajf fourth in his Impreza N14.
Commenting at the finish, Pech said:
"I was very nervous. I knew I had to win, if I wanted to maintain a theoretical chance of the title. I did not want to make mistake, but I had to go flat out. It was a fantastic rally, a perfect fight."
Pre-event favourite Roman Kresta retired his Peugeot 207 S2000 with mechanical problems during the event.
